Thankful for Family, Friends, and Food!
Calabasas Country Club hosted their first in-person Thanksgiving celebration since the pandemic this year, much to the delight of members and guests. Thanksgiving was a sold-out event for all four seatings, validating the Club’s “home away from home” philosophy. Diners enjoyed the friendship and camaraderie, along with the endless Thanksgiving buffet of food and desserts.
The Club’s Athletic Center Hosts “Let’s Get Moving” Event
The Club’s Athletic Center hosted a “Let’s Get Moving” event on Sunday, November 13th. Members and guests were invited to attend a special mat Pilates class to experience the health benefits of attending any of the group fitness classes offered each week. The event included a trunk show to debut a new line of athletic apparel for men and women and concluded with a free buffet of healthy food and drinks, giving guests the opportunity to mix, mingle, and shop.
Science of Sport Charity Golf Event Raises the Bar
Calabasas golf member Daren Heaton hosted the Science of Sport charity golf event at the Club on October 24th. Heaton is the executive director at Science of Sport, an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit that brings math and science to life using sports examples for all learners. Their goal is to translate the passion for sport into an appreciation, understanding, and application for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Players enjoyed fun activities at each hole, followed by a great awards ceremony.
Holiday Activities Delight Kids of All Ages
Parents and their kids had lots of fun over the holiday season, with several events geared towards spreading happiness and cheer. Kids had the opportunity to interact with their favorite superheroes at a great kids’ buffet and unleashed their unbound energy in an indoor bounce house. Kids also enjoyed a special “Kiddle Kristmas” holiday puppet show, complete with a Frosty the Snowman photo op, and the Club’s traditional “Breakfast with Santa” on December 18th.
